Reading, Writing and Religion 1660-1830, Saturday 7th December, Queen Mary, University of London

Very much looking forward to taking part in this event in a couple of weeks; there should be some excellent discussions about reading and writings’s significance to religion in this period. Though it’s billed as a “long eighteenth century” event, it’s so long that it encroaches on what I see as the “long nineteenth century”! A perfect opportunity for me to see what scholars of earlier evangelicals make of my interpretations of early nineteenth century writers such as Martha Sherwood and Ann Judson.

See for more information.

Attendance is free, but places are limited so please register by emailing by Tuesday 3rd December.
